Prince & Prince References on TV: Last couple of days

OK, so I'm happily chatting on the Org & half ass watching TV for the last few days & I've seen three Prince references out of the blue:

1. Lifetime played Maid to Order & Alley Sheedy is wearing a Purple Rain T-shirt

2. Comedy Central had Eddie Griffin's stand up on & he made reference to Prince (I was half asleep so I can't remember what he was talking about but he was doing the eye and then jumped up & started climbing the stage curtains... I need to catch that again lol)

3. TV One has been playing Purple Rain in my area for about a month and a half & my husband keeps saying "WTF it's on AGAIN!?" LOL

I just finished watching "Scrubs" and Dr. Cox said: "Things never change. 'The Artist Formerly known as Prince' is still just 'Prince'..." and continued making his point.
Small, but a mention. nod

"Love Hurts.
Your lies, they cut me.
Now your words don't mean a thing.
I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..."

Do you guys remember an old cartoon from the early 90s called "Tiny Toon Adventures"?

Well I was looking at a clip on Youtube that had to do with all the characters going to the prom and one of the characters was trying to sell men's suits and he said "Look at these, green, pink, black, yellow, blue, purple...hmmm, look like Prince."

I laughed my ass off. I wasn't even thinking about Prince when that came on!
I love a Man who:
Wears More Make Up Than Me.
Wears Four Inch Stilleto Boots.
Changes His Name To An Unpronouncable Symbol.
Who Changes His Name Back From An Unpronouncable Symbol.
Oh And Most Importantly, Who Is Sexy Little Drop Of Butterscotch

LOL That's how it's been for me. Other than the Purple Rain movie which I watched because I knew it was coming on, I wasn't thinking about him at the time when the other references came on. Nice to see how many people, movies, etc. that he's influenced.

Kimmel also had the McPhee girl from last years American Idol on a couple of days and they were talking about the "Prince party" after the Oscars, Golden Globes or something.

Anyone know if Kimmel is a fan?

I don't usually watch CSI, but it was on yesterday (UK satellite) and it was happening in Vegas (nice to see it again) and one of the characters was mentioning Prince concert.
They had nice helicopter shots of the Rio Hotel (I just attended the Saturday concert last weekend).
I was screaming at the TV set, my roomate was there but she knows about my passion lol .

sToday is Friday Mar. 16, Chris Rock was on the view this morning talking about his new movie "I love my wife" and he was saying that he wants to 'reinvent himself' something like Prince has done!

I was watching Dave...and Peyton Manning was on...they were talking about halftime and how they keep themselves occupied. During the rest of the year, half time is only 15 min or so. During the superbowl thoughm, it's 45. Peyton was talking about what he did with his extra time. He said he changed his unifor from head to toe becase he thought the rain would stop...cuz who has the balls to rain on Prince during the SuperBowl Halftime shoe...and made some refrence to Purple "Rain"....I'm paraphrasing btw, he didn't say balls...

He also mentioned PRince on The Actor's Studio which reaired last night.

I think Prince, along with Johnnnie Cochran, was one of Chris's first interviews for his hit cable show.

Kimmel was referring to C&D, not 3121.
