Parts of Prince songs I really dig

Of course I enjoy many Prince songs as whole works of arts but there are many that have these 10 or 20 second parts that just make the songs soar. The parts that make good songs great and great songs exceptional. Here are some snippets of Prince songs that have always just kind of stuck out:

1) The first 15-20 seconds of "Mountains" with the awesome drum and organ intro.

2) Close to the end of 7 where it seems like all the different Prince parts used on the record come together to make this huge wall of voices.

3) The guitar and drum on the tail end of "Sign O the Times"

4) The outro of "In This Bed (Eye Scream)" where the music sounds likes an outtake from a 70s zombie flick.

5) The distorted "come a little closer" part in "Letitgo"

6) The end of "TMBGITW" when he sings "If the stars ever fell one by one from the sky..."

7) The entire last minute or so of "Adore".

8) When the electric guitar part starts up on "The Cross"

God there are so many more...

1. The guitar lick at 3:35 of Little Red Corvette (album version)
2. The screams in The Beautiful Ones
3. The background vocals just before the chorus of A Case of U
4. The intro to Condition of the Heart
5. "Isn't it supposed to take a long time?" and the little chuckle after
6. His monotone in What's My Name
7. Hearing him breathe on The Love We Make ("Put down the needle. Put down the spoon.")
8. Clair's strings on Pink Cashmere
9. How Alexa de Paris sounds like the place it was written

that wicked guitar thing right after the line in Fury...your rainy day. Best thing on that CD.

the beginning of Shhh
"boy i was fine back in the day" from Illusion, Coma, Pimp and Circumstance
the beginning of Jam Of The Year with horns
the strings on Pink Cashmere
the deep voice that says "thank u ma'am" on Glam Slam
Peach/Cream on Purple Medley
the guitar solo on The Word
that high pitched voice on the Everlasting Now

theres just so much!

-I also like the outtro of In This Bed I Scream. I used to back it up over and over. Very psychedelic!

-I like the little interlude in Circle of Amour, right when you think the song has ended. It's very lush and pretty, and I like how P's voice sneaks back in.

-I love it when he sings "Tell me that you love me girl" in Soft and Wet! (I think everybody likes that part )

-The little "Rawr, ugh!" in the middle of the guitar solo in Dolphin.
