Prince's Movie Purple Rain is Going to Be on TV!

Saturday (February 3rd) at 8 on TV-1. Wonder if they're doing this, in part, because he's performimg at the SuperBowl on Sunday?

Can we stickify this??
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I remember one year, probably around 1994 or so, they really did it up the week of Prince's birthday. They played "Purple Rain" one night, they had a "Timeline" Prince episode, they had a "Pop Up Video" Prince episode, they played several Prince music videos throughout the week, and on that Saturday they had something brand new with Prince "taking over VH1" and playing his new videos, the NPG's new videos, and Mayte's video. Afterwards, they had a Prince special called "Love 4 One Another" with some more new videos. It was a great week.

Every blue mooon I see them play "Movies That Rock" but 99% of the time these days, all they play are those damn reality shows.

Haven't seen Purple Rain on VH-1 in ages. When they do show it, they seem to show it at some oddball time (like 3 or 4 in the morning).

They was playing that movie a lot back in the mid 90s when I used to watch the channel. The mini series continues to do extremely well with the network.

VH1 used to be the main channel I used to watch. They were great in the mid 90s with shows like "The Big 80s", "8 Track Flashback", old "American Bandstand" episodes, old "Solid Gold" episodes, old "Cher" episodes, "Movies That Rock", and "Behind The Music".
