Most underated Prince CD to you????

Critics loved "Sign of the Times", Hardcore followers seem to love "LoveSexy", Masses loved "Purple Rain" so no fair listing any of these 3. They are off limits.

Let's hear your ideas of his most underated CD!

I say ATWIAD. What do YOU say???!!!

COME.

The problem with COME is you have to be in a certain mood to get into it so it can easily be overlooked.

It took me a couple of years to really appreciate it but now it's one of my favorites!!

Parade
The Gold Experience
prince

Those CD's are by far his most underrated in my book.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

o(+> and The Gold Experience

Two superb albums full of hits but both badly marketed and promoted, they should have been massive but it was a sign of the times ahead.

the 2nd album the "Prince" Album.it's been Covered as much as His other Popular Albums."I Feel For You,I Wanna Be Your Lover,Still Waiting,it's gonna be lonely, with you,.that's pretty good that His 2nd Album has been covered as much but rarely mentioned in that category.

I'd have to say, The Vault was(commercially)his least appreciated and under-rated album.Tossed off as a contractual obligation, it's a one-man history of black music;a resting place for 'Old Friends 4 Sale', one of the greatest songs in his catalogue;and for AT LEAST half the distance, the funkiest album on the planet, which made Michael Jackson sound like a one-legged pedestrian. An utter-joy from start to finish(apart from My Little Pill-what was THAT all about!?)

I would have to say Batman. The reason that I pick this album is even though it sold very well when it was released it's kinda looked at now as either played out because its Batman and it's not topical or just a soundtrack to the Batman movie.I think that theres some really great songs on that album. Granted the album is suited towards a batman theme, but they are songs that if you took them out of context with the movie and the album they can stand alone by themselves. A great example would be Electric Chair. I thought the beauty of that album was that none of the songs(lyric wise) were really about Batman or any situations that took place in the film. With the exception of Batdance and the various film soundbytes.

1999- surely it is revered as a classic by many, but not many list it in the league in which it deserves to lie.

OK, I'm gonna say it...

New Power Soul. I dig it. It flows like Lovesexy. Listen to it all at once peeps.

And Chaos and Disorder is very under-rated.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Prince plus some of the great songs on For You

Honorable mention: Graffiti Bridge I love the whole vibe of the album and movie -- kinda like Purple Rain meets Lovesexy. Plus, I can relate to "the Kid" in the movie.

I have a hard time deciding between GB and C&D...

I'd say C&D because GB has already been mentioned so often here...

The quality of at least half the material on c&D is no less than on Gold, an album which is generally appreciated much more. The fact that there is some filler on the cd and it hasn't been promoted at all except for one (obligatory?) performance & 1 video by P doesn't mean it should be underappreciated like it is now.
On the other hand, I have to admit C&D had to grow on me also...
