Stern and his producer Gary D'ellabate mentioned on this morning's show that Prince sent a new song to Stern exclusively for him to play on his show.
The idea is that the song might be played at the Super Bowl this weekend.
The song turned out to be Prince doing a cover mash-up of "All along The Watchtower" and the Foo Fighters "Best of You"which I had never heard before.

Stern said that Prince is so good, anything he does gives him the "chills".
He also described Prince's "Guitar Gently Weeps" solo as beautiful.

Then they took a phone call fom "Eric The Midget", and all talk of Prince came to a close.

Nice to see how complimentary Stern was about Prince's music...

It'll be interesting to see if these end up on the half-time show....

Great. But I as a european would like to hear this also. Did he send it exclusively just to ONE radio station ?
