Prince Needs Directions to the Super Bowl
Posted Jan 18th 2007 12:48PM by TMZ Staff

In the wake of Prince's late arrival at the Golden Globe Awards- which he blamed on L.A. traffic- Wal-Mart has decided to help the tardy Purple warbler get to his Super Bowl halftime performance on time.

Wal-Mart has sent the tiny musical icon a free TomTom portable GPS device to help navigate his travel to Dolphin Stadium in Miami on February 4.

The package shipped from NYC on Wednesday, so let's hope he gets it in time for the big game!

Ah yes, that's right. I got lost while driving with a gay friend of mine. I was shocked when he actually stopped at a store and asked for directions. If he didn't, we probably would have been driving around all day with no clue where we were! biggrin

He'll never live down this lateness. It's all very funny and now somehow even Walmart seems a little cool.

He should make the Academy crowd wait those few seconds, and wonder. Search lights searching and all...
Well, it would be funny if he's presenting.

That'd be funny if it was staged

Also, cborgman, your avatar really scares me.. there's something about it that I just hate. It makes you seem like a really creepy person sad

Right. That's why I didn't say "when he accepts the award" because then it would seem presumptuous and cocky.

On second though...
nevermind

Do you really think he was late? It always seem lately that he is never around to accept his award. The only one I saw him come to the stage for is BET. “I don’t care about awards,” and the folks at Paisley Park giving the tour made it clear that “this is his trophy case but he does not care about them.” Is this a way to kind of stick to his guns and say he doesn’t care but really does and when he knows he is going to win show up late or leave? 30 years in the business and he is late for this one and it just so happened the award was presented first.

I was just thinking….I am waiting for the Oscars …. GO P

I was really surprised he didn’t win any AMA’s in 2005. I thought if he won a Grammy he would definitely win a crappy AMA.
