I don't think this song is popular around these parts,but I always have loved this song,the vocals & melody are beautiful to me.I listened to this a number of times last night,and it just moved me.Specifically,"then tell me now who's the fool" & Rosies' vocals at the end-which to me are better than what she does on D&P.

And yes, I agree, this song is underrated - it's the first song that really got me into Prince. I'd bought Batman and the singles, but that was more to do with my Batman / comic-book fanaticism as a kid than because of Prince. From NPG on, it was all Prince.

much prefer the funky weapon remix maxisingle, it's funkier. Also the demo of NPG with only the real drums is interesting.

I think he layed on the wet/reverbed electronic drum sound a bit too heavy on the album version. It kind flattens the funk feel.

The melodies and circus mood are great.

Love this song! One of the highlights of the Graffiti Bridge album for sure. Very fun and funky.

This came on my ipod while I was on the treadmill today. I love it!!! Very 1990 but who cares?? It is a fun song with a positive message.

Hahah the maxi single! The Best Buy in Roseville for YEARS has always had a copy of this in the Prince section. I'm not joking. Even like WAAYYY back in the day I can remember seeing it there before I ever purchased it. I bought mine there and a week later there was another copy out! I always thought that was werid how they have always had copies of that particular single of his but not others. Although the other one they always have is the Scandalous Sex Suite.

It didn't work.

I never liked this song,it sounds too generic and the lyrics are corny to me.It's a weak song for him to begin the movie with.He should have performed the superior "Can't Stop This Feeling I Got" instead.
