Does any1 know what make/model of guitar prince uses,for instance the one he gets in purple rain, and is his telecaster a custom model(if it is a fender) or can anyone buy it?

The 'Cloud' guitar was on sale, ONLY on NPGMC, some years ago. It hasn't been on SALE since. I bought 1 for $1700 which is around £1400.

oh cheers,i would ask about the symbol guitar but thats hideous, but i really want his tele,i'd take better care of it than him, his strat that he used on SNL recently was pretty sweet

his strat is a modified fender with a custom single/humbucker configuration he uses a lot. You can check ebay from time to time the usually have the hohner's or the ESP clouds (japan made) or the schetcher ones. Also check guitarsite.com and the trade/sale market place on this site and housequake. Good luck.

I asked a similar question regarding his Guitars! Apparently his Telecaster is not a Telecaster. It's a Hohner which apparently is an "Official" knock off of a Telecaster. Got that little Gem from 1 of the members here.

I think his Ibanez GB10 is pretty tastefull! I wish he used it more!

may actually be far less clouds and symbols as they were often painted to suit cosmetic needs, possibly only 2 symbols and 4 clouds originally.

I heard the quality was a problem with the clouds that were retailing at the club, thats probably why he pulled them, I heard stories of paint coming off and stuff. they obviously were no where near as good as a proper one either. Original as all maple with a straight through neck/body, copies were bolt on.

i was thinking of getting an archtop,but would an ibanez be better than say a gretch or gibson?
