List 10 ways P's closing of NPGMC has changed the Org

Ispired by SquirrelMeat's comment on the grope thread:
Its threads like this that really bring it home that the NPG site is gone and the fruit cakes need a new home to spew their idolism!

(And this is about P closing NPGMC confused, so leave it in the M&M forum, please)

the 'us vs. them' crap is gone, so it feels like people are getting along maybe 2% better than before. shrug

... fakes that try to come on here and get the password so they can scalp the best seats...

....people that didn't get the email because of a club error that come on here and try to get the password.....

not related to the org: the odd and nasty looks i got from non members as i walked right past their huge line and got inside before they did.....some of them had been waiting for hours and i just showed up at 10pm!

10- There's more of a breezy sense of movement thru-out this forum.
But that may have more to do with the fung shui placements of the threads.

9- There's more of a breezy sense of my understanding of the fam's comments.
But that may have more to do with the fact that Zelaira doesn't post here any more.

8- More conservatives are opening up when listing their top favorite P songs & albums.
But that may have more to do with them finally getting the message after the recent elections.

7- I used to think that I was down with all the peasant folk around here, but lately, whenever I'm sitting the First-Class section of this forum, I find myself trying not to look up at the newbies as they past by, for fear of getting my eyes dirty.
shrug

6- In the Org Commissary, I no longer smirk amusingly the menu listing of the "all-U-can-eat 'Jumbo-Shrimp'/Prince Friday Night" special any more.

whoops....I feel a massive dump coming on.
I'll list the remaining five when I get back.

I don't have 10. I was a member of NPGMC from the beginning and have been here the same mount of time. Most of the people there were members here, too. They just had a place they could post positive things about Prince without getting shit on by Prince referring to them as drinking purple kool aid and fambots. I actually dug the positive aspect of it.

you know i love you and i'm glad you got something positive from the NPGMC boards (and i know the positivity was there, trust me), but let's be real. there was every bit as much negativity on that site as there's ever been here. the only difference was, you couldn't call out the negativity over there without being completely alienated from the boards. to be fair to NPGMC, i think the 'u tell us' dysfunctional family circus started cleaning up eventually, but that was around the time the site was dismantled.

there were some good people who i considered "npgmc people" and i will say for the kajillionth time that i got MORE than my money's worth from the site, but by and large, i think the culture of the NPGMC boards could get pretty screwed up. shrug

I love you too, Chris. batting eyes

Oh yeah, there was negativity on the site but I didn't get caught up in it. I pretty much did my own thing, didn't consider myself to be part of a clique and took away from there the experience I wanted to.

I hated that you didn't post there more. You are incredibly brilliant. hug

aw shucks. stop it. go write your novel. whip

the best times i had on NPGMC were in the chats after the musicology shows everyone was just SO hyped and excited and fammed-out and happy. sure, there were the negative nancies but that's why they had an ignore button. thumbs up!
