BBC report the Vegas stint is indefinite!

Reported on BBC online.

"Pop star Prince is to play a series of weekend concerts in Las Vegas, beginning next week.

The singer, 48, will play Friday and Saturday night shows at the Rio hotel's nightclub and will also host gigs featuring other artists on Wednesdays.

A club statement said Prince's shows would go on indefinitely.

Tickets for the over-21 concerts cost $125 (£65.50) and will go on sale on 2 November.

Other artists in residence in the city include Celine Dion.

Prince's 2004 comeback tour took $90.3m (£48.5m) in ticket sales and helped make him the top earner in the music industry that year.

The star, who has previously changed his name to an unpronounceable symbol and The Artist Formerly Known As Prince, has had a string of hits since he began recording in the late 70s, including When Doves Cry, Purple Rain and Kiss".

Great, I'm in Vegas in April, so hopefully he'll still be there!

"A club statement said Prince's shows would go on indefinitely."

They are simply referring to this:

3121 has landed! Prince & The NPG have taken over and Vegas will never b the same! Come and witness the truth of the all new 3121 and the 3121 JAZZ CUISINE on the weekend of November 10th & 11th. An amazing night of music in the only place on the planet where u can xperience it first hand, in an intimate venue now known 4 all time as 3121 LAS VEGAS.

It's better not to create confusion by posting threads like this, since the info is simply being re-worded and re-transmitted.

Sorry, but your theory as to what the BBC are refering to is simply assumption.

The two comments may or may not be connnected. But only dismiss them if you have some evidence to be sure that are one and the same.

To me, the link is pretty thin.

Jeez, all indefinite means is that the end-date is not defined, ie. no one knows yet or Prince has yet to decide. Which is what we already knew.

Totally agree. I'm just not convinced about how Jestyr has confirmed the link between the artist not giving an end date and the renaming of a venue.
