I read this today in one of my Prince groups. I just read that she died on 10/25. Can anyone confirm this?

wonder if Prince has any other siblings? Also, wasn't there a lawsuit between Prince and his sister over copyright of "U Got The Look" lyrics?

He had a sister named Lorna?!

If Prince doesn't show up at his sister's funeral, I don't know if I'd like him anymore.

I know he's busy with work but hey, family and friends first.

I thought he only had one Sister.

How someone chooses to mourn is their business, imho.

Whether or not that applies to this situation, I don't know. Either way, I respect his decision.

oh well, doesn't matter much right now -- his sister, an immediate family member, however estranged they were, is gone..
If they never mended that rift between them...

It's just sad. I have siblings that don't speak to each other... They're only in their 20s but I tell them: "what if ___ died? you wouldn't be able to [really] give/accept forgiveness & have more peace in your life; do it before it's too late..."
tomorrow is not promised to any of us..

I hope they all are able to get thru this sad time ok

I think you should think about being so judgemental about such things between others and their families. I did not go to my father's funeral. My godmother did not go to her son's funeral. We all had our reasons and mourned and paid our respects in our own way. and because I was allowed to do so, it helped me through the process greatly.

Wonder, I did think before being so judgmental like you said and I strongly think that unless one has a solid reason not to go, one should be there but it's my opinio and I don't want to bring bad memories for both of us.

I went to the Star tribune website and saw the announcement there. There are several entries in the guestbook. She was a well-loved lady.

in other words, they dont attend non-jw faith funerals...ie, if its in a catholic church they wont attend...when my grandmother's sister died she attended the viewing and the burial but not the church services in-between...she just sat in the car and waited till the catholic services were over...it wasn't a big deal...

if prince wants to mourn his sister's death he will find his own way of doing...

In an interview, Prince's cousin said Prince did not attend his mom's funeral, his dad's or his aunt's, who I think was the twin sister of his mom. I don't anticipate that he would attend Lorna's, but you never know. I guess that's between him, his conscious and God.
