What's My Name? -- Love the explosiveness of this one. 
Third Eye -- Not really sure what it's about, but somehow it kicks your ass with just an acoustic (and maybe a bass line?). Good Man -- It's an outtake I heard once, but it jammed. Seriously. 
One Kiss At A Time -- I don't like a lot of Emancipation, especially Disc 2, but this one is very nice lyrically. Now -- Another blistering jam and the lyrics, once again, are great. 
Return of the Bump Squad -- So sad that I will never (apparently) hear this live! Van Gough -- Not sure I spelled that right, but a very cool song. Mashed Potato Girl -- OK, it's not really a song, but it's hilarious as hell!  I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, keep me here. | |

Oh, and I haven't seen anything on here about It's A Wonderful Day and In A Large Room With No Light. "Hello" is truly 1 of my absolute fav B sides of all. It's gotten more spins on my turntable than any other B side. 1 song that never gets mentioned here, though, is more recent... "When I Lay My Hands On U", 2 me at least, is the most underrated Prince song ever. Since there isn't a working search function on the Org, it's nearly impossible 2 dig up what has been said about that song. "He's a musician's musician..." |
