Structurally, it has tons in common with "Dolly Dagger." His performance on SNL invoked Hendrix, too. The runs on Witness, and its structure, too, borrow heavily from Hendrix. Whether it's the closest, whether it beats out SRV's and JJ's laudable homages to Hendrix -- well, those are highly debatable. But, I won't. | |
