prince on witness for the prosecution is the closest he ever been into hendrix land

prince can play almost like jimi hendrix when he want to.
just listen to witness 4 the prosecution (blues rock version).
he goes into hendrix teritory much deeper then stevie ray vaughn ever got.

he was better then jesse johnson even in the 80-s.

We could say something smart like Prince use to play witness for the prosecution, but now all He seems to be a witness for is "jokehovia"
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.
You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

Honestly, I think Fury is very close to Hendrix.

Structurally, it has tons in common with "Dolly Dagger." His performance on SNL invoked Hendrix, too.

The runs on Witness, and its structure, too, borrow heavily from Hendrix.

Whether it's the closest, whether it beats out SRV's and JJ's laudable homages to Hendrix -- well, those are highly debatable.

But, I won't. wink

Rockability

The other song closest to sounding Hendrix is that one he did with Larry Graham live. It was before Prince had toned down his on-stage antics and seemed to be about, if I remember correctly, having effed up family or something.
