News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.

Oh My Heart Is Filled With Joy and my Soul leaps with happyness because my spiritual brother Prince accepts me. No he doesn't. Prince doesn't know you, nor care that you are alive. If he does, he's scared of you and highers extra security.

He's a brilliant musician and songwriter. Much better than anyone else who's been in the charts in years. For a long time I was disappointed with the way the pop world was and then I hear this guy who also had the same opinion so naturally it caught my interest. It's quite inspiring to see that this man plays most (if not ALL) the instruments on an entire album. Being a musician myself, it's something I'd like to aspire to. Unfortunately, I'm yet to see him live but I've seen recorded shows and I KNOW I'm missing out on something great. Lot's of my friends aren't interested in him coz they say he's either too old or gay or whatever. I don't care about all that. Listening to his work has helped me have a better understanding as to what is quality music. I'm 21 now, I was 19 when I started listening to Prince and I'm sure I'll continue to listen and learn for a long time to come.

for me, it's because he's more or less the living legend of my generation. there might be other folks that'd fit underneath that premise too, but prince stands out the most in my mind as having the most living legend status and i'm not saying this because i'm a fan--for you was released 2 years prior to me being born, so it seems like it was all right on time. lol

there've been other musical groups and acts that have come and gone, wowed and fluttered, faded in and faded out in my musical childhood. outta all of 'em, prince has had the most staying power.

I think 20-30 something's probably see the same as the 40-60's.The over 60-70's are a different kettle of fish entirely tho

Beside his music being extraordinary, he is edgy and mysterious. That is what caught my eye. I grew up listening to mariah and whitney. I used to hear him occasionally on the radio in the early 90s. I was too young to fully understand and appreciate his music though. I became a fan after the huge year usher had in 2004. I played his album out. So I needed something else. I got the hits and b sides. I was amazed. He has such a variety of timeless music. I used to look at him like a legend and I only bought music that was hot at the time but Prince changed that. I would've never thought two years ago that I would love Prince so much.

I once had this friend in real life. He could play the guitar better then any rockenroller of the time. He didn't play in bands, so no one heard his sounds.

Alive would assume you've heard every musician living. That is far from the truth. Most Musicians that "make it" are not the best at what they do. They are simply better at dealling with bullshit.

His music was and still is funky as hell which is something that is sorely lacking in todays music. That's why I'm still here as a fan in my late 20's.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

One of the reasons I was attracted to Prince is his sense of individuality. Plus he always seems to be in control of everything, knowing exactly what he wants, not even needing a band and selling millions of records without selling out. His music took a while to get used to, mainly because of the 80's style production on some of his albums, but now that I'm able to hear past it or even like it, I'm getting the reward.

Well I'm 20 years old so I just fall into the short end of the age pool. I like Prince because of his music. He's so avant garde and over the top in his style and what he sings about. I mean if he wants to wear make up, he will. If he wants to sing brashly about sex, he will. This is the man who wore high heeled boots, wore pounds of make up, a cap with chains on it and sang into a microphone shaped like a gun and people were tripping over themselves to get to him. Prince knows who he is and what he's doing. He's not taking crap from anyone. That's why he's up there with the likes of Elvis, Madonna, Michael Jackson and James Brown. He takes everything you think you know and rearranges it. I learned to push the envelope from MJ but I learned to put the envelope through the shredder from Prince.

What I have gained from Prince is to just be who you are and rock at it!

Plus he is sexy as sin! smile
I love a Man who:
Wears More Make Up Than Me.
Wears Four Inch Stilleto Boots.
Changes His Name To An Unpronouncable Symbol.
Who Changes His Name Back From An Unpronouncable Symbol.
Oh And Most Importantly, Who Is Sexy Little Drop Of Butterscotch
