What are Prince's greatest songs that the general public probably hasn't heard?

Not just outtakes but also album tracks that weren't released as singles or performed on tv or such or songs written for others that didn't get alot of exposure..

Personally, I think that Open Book, given the right exposure, would have been very well recieved. Also, Taja Seville's first album,I feel should have been promoted better.

Others?

Venus De Milo
Sometimes it Snows in April
If I was Your Girlfriend
Adore
When You Were Mine
I Wish U Heaven

too many

But what does make me chuckle is teh numebr of people who hate Prince but love his songs without relaising it.

In what must have been a totally freak occurence one local DJ, who totally hates Prince and is outspoken about it played 3 of his track back to back without relaising it (by other artists of course).

I Would Die 4 U (cant remember who by)
Nothing Compares 2 U (Sinead)
If I was your Girlfriend (TLC)
and a cover of Adore

Unfortunately, some people would be turned off by that title alone.

Can we talk about this without getting the subject yanked from the Org?

If you've heard 'Studio Nights' or 'The Music Box,' you have heard the best unreleased songs.

I just recently heard Make It Thru the Storm and a few others from the early days that I had never heard before. Lots of good stuff has never been official released but a good amount of released classics like the ones mentioned and more really would be well recieved by the non fan public.

I love that son but my ex-bestfriend has tainted it for me.

He is totally, 100% convinced that the "...it's like surgery" line means that sex together is painful.

He just wont except that it doenst mean that at all

Almost all of them. But to be specific:

Sexy Dancer
Private Joy
Automatic
Anotherloverholeinyohead
Housequake
Strange Relationship
Hot Thing
Anna Stesia
Vicki Waiting
Trust (even though it was played in Batman, most won't know that song)
The Question Of U
Still Would Stand All Time
New Power Generation
Willing and Able
Damn U
Love 2 The 9's
The Max
Blue Light
Acknowledge Me
Interactive
Empty Room
Wonderful Ass
In A Large Room With No Light
Shy
Shhh (unless one went to the Musicology Shows)
Dolphin
I Hate U (never heard it on the radio here in NYC)
Soul Sanctuary
Sleep Around
The One
Come On
A Million Days
Love
Lolita
The Dance

I've skipped quite a few but I'm going to stop at this.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Wasted Kisses but the great thing about these songs is that the general public doesn't deserve to hear them.
