Do you think P will ever lose the NPG name

I don't get why he has kept NPG for 16 years now and he ditched the name "Revolution" after they broke up. It isn't the original NPG anymore, so why no name change?

NPG is tired. Let's hope the name is re-tired.

If Prince still wants the name NPG,then so do I! Any other name after so many years would take some getting used 2 anyway..

I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I never liked the name "New Power Generation" since day one. It reminds me of the commercial "The Pepsi Generation". I'm a Coke drinker myself. lol I've always found the name to sound kind of childish and silly. When he shortened it to "NPG", I really hated it because it has a shit hop ring to it. After "The Revolution", if Prince wanted a new band name, the perfect one would have been "Prince and Obscenity" (he was still nasty back then). lol
Andy is a four letter word.

He already lost the music club with the name. He might as well.

"NPG"...."New Power Generation".....doesn't matter which one was used, the name was corny as hell. The time to get rid of it has long since passed.

I think it was Cat who wrote that in the Lovesexy book.

A couple of years ago, I worked for an evil coal burning power plant, and I was in charge of editing the bi-weekly plant newsletter, the "Power Generation." I had to slow down and think before each time I was talking about in front of people because my tongue always wanted to form the word, "new" before "power generation."

Anyway, it is old and time to name his band something else. Besides, my NPG mug broke a long time ago, so who cares.

I caught these dudes jammin' on a San Francisco street corner yesterday called "New Funk Generation". That would have been much better than "Power" disbelief.

"So basically this year we installed new turbines, which should increase efficiency by 5 to 10 percent. More information is included in the plant's bi-weekly news letter, the Power Generation. NPG IN MASS ATTACK! GET WILD! WHAT? GET WILD! WHAT? GET WILD! Furthermore, a restructuring of the overtime system enabled us to more efficiently use both money and manpower. And that concludes my presentation. For those that know the number and don't call....fuck all y'all."

"can i have a newsletter please?"
"it's $7.75 a month."
"i thought it was free. and bi-weekly."
"oh right, yeah. here you go. welcome to the dawn."
"what?"

i could keep going with this but i need to sleep sometime

It won't return. Once Prince drops a project, consider it dead and burried.
