'Sign O' The Times' film (on DVD) -- Opinions wanted

Hey there. 'Sign O' The Times' was recently shown on the big screen here in Vancouver as part of a film-fest, but I was overseas and missed it. Luckily, I found the film on DVD at a video store yesterday and I'm gonna watch it tonight or very soon.

I'd just like to invite commentary by anyone who's seen it: what do you think of it? What are the best parts? How good of a film is it?

Thx.

oh my god!! - there are so many good things about this film that it would be too long to explain - just watch it yourself and Im sure you will love it - good bits to watch out for are 'sign o the times', if I was your girlfriend' and 'I could never take the place of your man'
prince at his best..... wink

I've heard that the DVD quality is a little off, along with the sound...Can anyone confirm this, or is it just lies?

The sound editing is out by about half a second on the UK region 2 version released by a company called Network in the UK.

The Sign O the Times DVD from Canada by Alliance/Atlantis is awesome and perfect! It's region 1 (playable on DVD players sold in the US and Canada). http://www.amazon.ca/exec...57-9900319
Goodnight, sweet Prince.

I hope maybe someday that there will be a Special Edition version of the film on dvd with extras as interviews with SOTT band members like Sheila E.,Dr.Fink,Eric Leeds, etc.,photos and unsen footage from the movie and more unseen footage from the 1987 era.I've been hoping for that one for a few years now.Peace!

SOTT is a great dvd. It's one of my favourite concert dvd's. I've watched it 100 times or more over the years.

Sit back and enjoy and as sexydancer said "don't even blink"!!

SOTT is as close to perfection as a concert film can ever be. Enjoy. I love it all, but Forever In My Life/It is my favorite part. It's all about Boni nod

they brought up the "u got the look" mismatch in film quality.... that you could notice completely in the theatres.
