Any comments about Prince's BET performance on other messageboards?

Remember when he was on SNL and a lot of us found comments on his performance on other messageboards? Well did anyone find anything this time?

How could they NOT mention Prince?? WTF?

He made that show. A few of the performances were cool (like Mary J.), but Prince's presence was required to save the show, otherwise it would've been a mess.

Ok here we go, I found some comments on BET.com's boards:

Prince is a true performer and I enjoyed watching him have fun during the Chaka tribute but what happened during the closing he tied up his head like a women from the south and totally went another way with what i had expected him to do.

prince was good, although i'm not a fan, but at least he didn't over sell the performance and he did good playing and NOT having to sing. caught the tail end of his own performance and it seemed to be nice.

Prince-Awesome on the guitar strings man!

Prince just won because he's prince (so unfair!!!!!)

Prince- I don't care what anybody says about him he is the ***! He is the only guy that can wear high heel boots and I dont look at him as being gay he is just NASTY AS HELL!!!

and don't give Prince a reward because you felt it was time too. Love ya Prince you rocked with Chaka and Stevie but you step on some toes with that award.

The tribute to Chaka was awesome, Prince and Stevie had me on the edge of my seat!! Good show guys!!

THE BIG FINALE-----Unfortunately, this was not that great at all. Besides BET should know better than to end a show with a song people don't know. That didn't even make sense, the song was ok but you want to go out jamming not scratching your head going , what was that all about? Even a portion of the act that could have been interesting...when Prince threw the mic in the audience and that dude got up and rapped.....I couldn't really enjoy that because it had the credits running through it. They should have let BUSTA end it with a BIG BANG (I couldn't resist that one)!

Being an older cat I really enjoyed watching Chaka, Prince and Stevie. A lot of you cats dont even realize what you would have had to pay to see all three of these Legendary Artists.

They need to change the definition of musician in the dictionary and replace it with one word Prince. He got down and what can you say about Stevie Wonder when he bust out that harmonica and played that lick I was standing up clapping. And Ms Chaka Khan...well it gets no better.

What really wouldve been fire, if at the end when Prince was performing, he had some people from his former band the Revolution up there jamming with him. Now that wouldve saved the show from being totally lame.

Prince finally got his props! He won over hitmaker Jamie Foxx! Who would have thought?

Prince proved that rock music isn't just "white boy music"

I post on a general entertainment message board and most loved the Chaka tribute with P. They praised P and several ladies talked about how sexy P is. There were mixed reactions on the finale.

Only Prince could get away with doing a song nobody knows, don't you think? He probably told BET that he would to the show on his terms. They were probably like.....yes sir Prince sir.

That figures. I knew the only part of the performance they would like would be the (c)rapper that fucked it up. lol

found some more:

Prince was funky. I was shock though when I saw a black girl on stage. I was like is she lost, but when I heard her skills I was like FINALLY PRINCE GOTTA SISTA ON STAGE.

Chaka and nem…They performed very well. Why was Prince making those crack mouth moves though? Why when they were all together it made me think of the Chuck E. Cheese band? Hmmmmm

Prince- Loved it. I love me some Prince.

I give props to Prince, Chaka and Stevie for holding down the living legends but I was waiting for Prince to break out a classic so the end was a letdown.

Chaka’s tribute was SUPERB. How fly is it to see Prince and Stevie jamming together???? PRICELESS…

I love Prince, but winning best male artist was a shock. Even he was surprised, but the man is talented, he will be discussed centuries from now.

Prince was awesome on his guitar!!

I think Prince should have ended with Black Sweat instead of that song but he still fine

Prince…. maybe i didn’t hear it right, but whats up with how prince was backing up the singers during the Chaka tribute.

I must say, that dude is cool though, and for him to be 48 and looking younger than pretty much anyone at the awards except Chris Brown, thats scary.

I thought Prince could’ve closed the show better. Since he won a award and set it off during the Chaka performance, the interest factor just wore off but I understand they probably had to guarantee him a highlight performance for him to agree to participate as much as he did

oh yeah prince i got mad love for you bruh but that last song you did at the end could have been left on the cutting floor.did you see how some people were leaving. i was like what the hell is this prince lol

the chaka tribute was very good and long overdue.prince was playing that guitar like only he can and yolanda adams did chaka justice hands down and india arie was nice on the ears too
.

I too was surprised Prince didn’t hit the stage once and then leave
His performance really open my eyes to the fact that rock is our music too and we need to own it more often than we do

Prince had me almost screaming. I am surprised his anti-social ass even made it there. I am also feeling the actual Black girl in his new video. WTF is up with that?? I guess he is being different. ( LOVE IT)

these peeps can't recognize talent even if it bites then in the ass! they probably think WTF is Prince playing whitey music on a Black show. even if he was, they should be proud that he does it better than white people! lol

Here's a funny one, from livejournal:

shut up, Prince. With your diva ass demands-having to be the star on american idol, having to be the star at the BET awards, when neither show was even about you. i don't care if you're an icon. Your voice isn't even that good. Why do you have to be such a divabitch all the goddamn time. Do not say that award was unexpected because you know damn well your big ass ego expected it. So please shut up, sit down, take off your four punds of make up and your 8 inch heels and please vanish into obscuirty.

I'm spent

the Great Stevie Wonder--he has been in the game for a looooong time but BET plz let him rest.he has been on every award show since the 2nd season it was? it's good to see him and kno that he's doing well and healthy but daaaaang.....

Chaka Khan--she was good but i didn't really kno where she was going with her speech....

I read a post that said he wished Prince would have done one of his own songs and not one of his protege's. People have no idea what he's doing now..
