Little Purple Pill

OK, I perfectly expect this to go no where, but I'm sitting at work and I have nothing else to do. So I was thinking, has anybody been a victim of Acid Reflux. I'm 36 and in great shape, but 3 months ago I honestly thought I was having a heart attack. I really thought I was packing it in. I couldn't hardly breath, my chest ached deeply and my throat burned every time I took a breath. I went to the Emergency Room and was told I was having Acid Reflux. I always assumed that Acid Reflux and hearburn where the same thing. WRONG!!

This crap is bad. And chronic Acid Reflux can lead to throat cancer, because it eats away the lining of your esophagus. I was told that Acid Reflux is common among a lot of people. So, any of you in ORG land been a victim of this stuff.

Oh yeah, NEXIUM which is the little purple pill they advertise on TV is a freaking wonder pill. It's expensive as hell, but it works.

Hey, I can link this to Prince. Ha, ha, ha...

I just thought of that.

Little PURPLE Pill. wink

Yes, I too suffer from Acid Reflux. Yes it is terrible. I take Prevacid. Maybe I need to try the little purple pill!

REDFEATHERS

Yes I have had it before - is it stress related also, or just what you eaten - what starts it? I too thought I was dying and the worst is when you have it through the night, no matter what you just can't get comfortable, relax or go to sleep.

Glad to hear other people suffer from it!!

No sorry about that, but it is a comfort that I am NOT dying and it is more common.

Maybe it is Prince related? Do all Orgers suffer?

This happened to me during a stressful time of my life living with a girlfriend. "Never get married." The doctor started me off slow with Tagament, and I often supplemented this with Gaviscon. Some days I did fine, but it wasn't until I walked away from the relationship that everything started to "settle" again. I wish you the best. btw, nice house.

It honestly works. I misunderstood the doctor directions when I first took it. I thought I was only supposed to take it when I felt bad, because after the first two days I felt fine. But I was supposed to take it each day until my prescription ran out. Needless to say when I stopped taking it the next day I was in some serious pain. After I was clear on the directions and took them. Since then I've been lucky not to have any more flair ups.
