Oh, come on now.. rolleyes...First of all, Prince's last concert had tickets from like $40-$70, so it's obvious he DOES have a regard for his fan base, or else the Musicology tour would have been $200 bucks a ticket. Secondly, This isn't the kick-off show of an arena tour...it's a "one-time" thing, I get the impression. When (if) there is a full-fledge 3121 tour, don't expect the tickets to be $300 dollars...lol...they'll be back around $70 as usual.

I'm a few hours drive away, and have the money... hmmm...tempting.

Thank you.

Madonna charges her fans $300+ for arena concerts that seat 20,000+ people.

Prince charges $312.01 for a one-off event in an intimate club and he gets called everything but the child of God by his so-called fans. disbelief

The Club must have priced the tickets. In Vegas, you really don't have much control of that. Vegas has a history of high ticket prices. Celine Dion and Elton John cost about that much, and they suck.

I'm sure they will let in less then 1200, and let's not forget that many celebrities will be there, and they can pay any price for a show. I also think it may be a way for the club to get a classy clientele. Vegas has this really shitty attitute about the haves and have-nots. The club scene there is really elite and crazy.

If I was a rich fan, I would still stay home. This guy needs to be a better person, not just preach about it.

rolleyes Prince will really lose sleep now that you aren't coming, rich or poor. lol

They say the worth of something is what someone is willing to pay for it. If Prince sells out at that price, then I guess that is reflective of the desire people have to see him. If you can't afford the ticket without hardship, then don't go, it's a personal choice. Wait for the proper tour at more reasonable prices. Would it be any fairer if the price was dirt cheap and thousands of fans missed out anyway because they sold out in seconds?

Apart from tieing the price in with the album name (of course) the high price is likely to generate a certain amount of publicity on it's own - though in Las Vegas I'm sure there are plenty of people who throw away $300 gambling every night anyway.

This is a special event because it is the first time since the Musicology tour that Prince is headlining his own show, and blatantly promoting the album too - all those people that said he was finished promoting the album, where are you now?! It's like starting off the tour with a bang rather than a whimper.

The ticket price seems absolutely INSANE to me.

That being said, I'm happy that the email alludes to more shows. Which I assume will be more affordable.

And for those of you who can afford this show, ENJOY!

For the sake of my own pocketbook, I'm also happy it's so pricey. Had the tix been reasonable, my ass would be booking airfare today. This saves me money all around smile

I don't judge other people's fandom level but I find it curious when many people on these boards can't stand the guy or don't seem to like anything he's put out in the last ten years or have nothing positive to say about him, etc., seem to live to tell people they are idiots for they they feel about the guy and the music. It you think that's a judgement, then so be it.

I don't think she was referring to just that one post.

No one should judge anyones level of fandom, but there are many Prince fans that seem very bitter towards Prince. They have a love/hate relationship with him. I have seen many posters say that they haven't liked any of his music in 15 years but yet they made the decision to become a part of his online fan community and then mostly bitch and moan about his last good album being the Batman soundtrack or the Symbol album or Lovesexy or the Come album or TGE album.

Maybe some people are just gluttons for punishment. I mean, you won't find me on a MJ message board, eventhough I was a huge fan during the Off The Wall/Thriller/Bad days. I am just not into MJ anymore, so it would be insane for me to become a member of MJ's online fan community. lol

Okay, so I guess you won't take the time to log back in on any fanclub sites then since you are through with him and refer to him as a has-been right? I mean why would you take the time to do that?

By the way, didn't he just finish doing some hit-n-run shows for $31 bucks a couple of months ago. I was at one of those shows, which was slamming and got to stand a feet away from the man, even got a chance to shake his hand and my friend got a chance to dance on stage next to this musical icon.

Prince has done thousands of shows and has given fan more than enough opportunity to see him at a reasonable price. So for TWO SHOWS, the price is expensive and you choose to damn him for that?

I know I can't judge yall as fans because yall are killing me with this quick urge to hate or be bitter towards Prince. Good Lawd!
