Supposedly this is a fairly small venue, so they have to have high prices to cover expenses and pay people, ya know? Have you bought tickets to any of the regular shows in Vegas lately, they're all expensive as hell. If I wasn't already committed to another thing, I'd DEFINITELY be there, BOTH nights!

That's bullshit. If that were the case everyshow at the venue would HAVE to be $300 and I guarantee you that they are not.

I havent been to Vegas in a while so this is perfect! Seems to be a lot of cheapskates in this org thing, $312. to see a living legend in concert in Vegas while hes still reletively young is a steal!! The man is geting old, so people, go get to see the man now while you still can!!!!! I know youll regret it 20 years from now, make that 5 yrs from now. First I'm not cheap if the comment was at me I went to All 3 shows in Detroit for mucicology and I've seen Prince a few times before that but, when he was at the State Theatre in Detroit for the benefit concert tix were general adminssion and the cost was 100.00 so to that comment people are not cheap yes these are different times but 312.01 is way to much for a concert ticket for anyone and that goes for Madonna MJ And Prince

Maybe it's so expensive coz it's gonna be a spectacular show?

I would go if I had someone to go with who would also pay that amount. The only other person I know who is a major prince fan has a girlfriend so that is out of the picture. Who would let their man go to Vegas with another girl? Hell no.
I need to make more "Prince" friends...

The person who made the cheap comment has no credibility because not wanting to pay 300 for a ticket is by no means being cheap. It's not only the $312 a ticket it's also paying for 2 people to fly and stay in Vegas (which is also one of the most expensive towns I've ever been in even without gambling). If you can afford it more power to you but if you are blowing every last drop of your savings or taking out credit card debt to see a concert then you are a fucking idiot and you deserve any hard times that gas prices or anything else may cause. C'mon, a full tank of gas yesterday cost me $93. To see a living legend in concert while he’s still relevant has to be at least worth 3 times more than a full tank of gas. [Edited 5/6/06 21:01pm]

Why are folks tripping? If you don't want to pay $312.01 to see Prince, that's fine. I am sure that Prince has at least 2,000 hardcore fans that could and would pay that amount of money to see him. There are people that fly all over the world to see him. This is probably just a one-off event.
I wish I had the money. I would so be there.

It doesn't matter she will soon post about how she isn't going into debt but I won't believe her because typically people who have money understand the value of money. [Edited 5/6/06 21:11pm]

I gotta go, I gotta figure out a way and PLEASE let there be some airfare sale from DTW to LAS!
But more importantly, what to wear? It will be hot as heck out there and I gotta get my hair done and do comfortable AND good looking heels exist?? For that price, we should all be allowed to sing a song, it could be like Prince karaoke, with him on backing vocals!! Love wins. (Seen on bumpersticker)

That's it, I've had it with Prince. He's out of his mind!! Only a fool would actually shell out that much for a has-been artist who seems to have no regard for his fanbase anyway...is he that desperate for money?? And that gimmick of using the numbers 3121 is getting old. I bet he's the laughing stock once people get hold of this. "Just like the sun, the Rainbow Children rise."

Yes, that's pretty small when you do the math...$130k if tix are $100, think that's going to cover staging expenses, moving equip., transportation/hotel expenses, security, pay the band members/dancers, etc., etc.. Depending on how the deal is, Prince may be paying to rent the club or it probably gets a cut. Now if Universal is footing much of the bill, that's a bit different, but if Prince is, then it's a little more understandable. You're going to be paying for seeing him in a more intimate setting. Hell, back in '99, the Studio54 tickets were $110 or something like that if I remember correctly. To the person who had to pay $93 for a tank of gas, what the heck do you drive and where do you live, here in the States?

Oh, come on now.. ...First of all, Prince's last concert had tickets from like $40-$70, so it's obvious he DOES have a regard for his fan base, or else the Musicology tour would have been $200 bucks a ticket. Secondly, This isn't the kick-off show of an arena tour...it's a "one-time" thing, I get the impression. When (if) there is a full-fledge 3121 tour, don't expect the tickets to be $300 dollars...lol...they'll be back around $70 as usual. I'm a few hours drive away, and have the money... ...tempting.
