There were only 2 versions of this album

The original 16 track version with "Guess Who's Knockin'" on

The 2nd version with this track removed.

There was just two pressings of the original 16 track version, and one pressing
of the 15 track version... and that was it.

Why was Guess Who's Knocking pulled again?

I think it had something to do with alleged copyright infringement, but I don't know the details.

Oh, I have the Guess Who's Knocking 16 track press, FYI cool

It's been alleged that there is some similarity with Paul McCartney's "Let 'Em In" and "Guess Who's Knockin'". But that's just speculation that hasn't been substantiated in any way.

I have the 16-track pressed copy too biggrin

Well the McCartney song has the chorus & lyrics...

Someone's knockin' at the door
Somebody's ringin' the bell
Someone's knockin' at the door
Somebody's ringin' the bell

and the NPG track has the chorus & lyrics...

Who's that knockin' at the door
Who's that ringin' the bell
Who's that knockin' at the door
Who's that ringin' the bell

(sung to pretty much the same tune)

and yeah, I have original CDs of both the 16 track & 15 track versions cool

OK, I have this version of the 16 track, but does anyone know the code for the 15? I saw a thread a while back about fakes of these but I wasn't near my discs to check. They both look like the same quality.

Hmm, I've heard this alleged before, but I used to drop by that store quite
regularly and chat to the woman who ran it a lot (I forgot her name), and I
never saw the bootleg version sold in the store, or heard from anyone who
worked there that they had stocked it. However, when the 21 track version
first started appearing on eBay etc. the sellers often swore blind that it
was official and bought in that store. Of course this was not actually true,
they were lying so as to avoid accusations of selling bootlegs.

Awww, there's still some diamonds in the rough - Goldie's Parade and especially Oilcan are great.

I also have a soft spot for Deuce & 1/4. yay!

Thanks. My 15 track has that code on it. I did pay quite a bit so when I saw the thread about the fakes I panicked a little.
