There's always been a lot of speculation about the Prince/Miles Davis collaboration. But for some reason, that is one subject Prince refuses to talk about at all. I think he mostly likes making people wonder - especially Warner Bros. I think his silence has something to do with the fact that Miles was also under a Warner Bros contract, and if Prince and Miles did anything significant together, Warner Bros might try scarf it up which of course would make Prince go postal.

Prince's silence on the issue could also have something to do with the possibility that Prince has already worked with Miles on an official studio release, and in order to get around the contract issue, Prince probably never took credit for his song writing or musical contribution(wouldn't be the only time he's ever done anything like that). So for all we know, the so-called Prince/Miles collaboration could already be released on something like "Tutu", "Aura" or "Amandla" or any other album that was released around that same time period. I know I'm speculating, but it's just a thought.

Look at that:

http://www.npgmusicclub.c...ms/ck.html

Is that what I'm thinkig of?? I HEARD a lot o' buzz about a collapo/meeting bitween Prince & Miles YET I neva heard it.
And is you see in that link, Miles played his trumpet ander P's track/production/arrangment which was SANG by the Great Chaka Khan. Was that it?? All the buzz was about a P track 4 a Chaka's LP ?? I thought that Prince collaped wit Miles in one of his LPs(Or clearly HIS Vault) neutral.

THE MOST INTERSTING PART is we all know that the brotha is pretty inscure about his SAX/TRUMPET/HORN playing, but you actually have a chance to hear 'em play both instruments. I do hope I can find this 'CK' lp cuz its very RARE 2 find(CDNOW don't have it tho rolleyes sad).

Holla
Holla

Prince didnt play horns on this track; Atlanta Bliss and Eric Leeds did. They are listed in the credits on my CK CD. It is out of print and one of the most underrated Chaka CDs. Prince wrote Eternity which is also on this album
