I don't know about the percentages & all, lol, but his music has definitely been a huge part of my life from a young age (age 7, I believe). Things I came to realize:

the beauty of being unique

the truth in being vulnerable

sex is sacred & cheap, precious & dirty, savored & quick - it's whatever you want it to be, just be creative

I'm glad I came up in his time. He always stayed true to himself & didn't conform - that's a great influence, especially when you're trying to find yourself...

Yea, but it's hard to feel like you know much of anything when you're growing up (the teenage years) - you're being second guessed, trying to fit in yet find your own way & follow your heart. But as long as you've got good stuff in your heart, you do okay...
