The orginal version of "The Dance"

My last thread was locked so I'll be more specific in what I'm asking. When exactly was the original version of The Dance recorded and what was its intended use?

Thanks in advance!

I have this on some CD... might be boot... boxed

In any case, I prefer the original version. It's an emotional and moving song!

If I'm correct, it was originally released in one of the Ahdio shows from the NPGMC Year 1. He then 'officially' released it on "The Chocolate Invasion" CD that can be purched in the Musicology download section of the NPGMC.

I actually like this new version. I love the screams & stuff at the end.
It's the same way I feel about 'Dark' from "Come" & 'So Dark' from "Crystal Ball". I believe 'So Dark' was more intense & meaningful to me.
If I want your opinion, I'll beat it outta ya!

I don't remember it being on any of the ahdio shows. I'm pretty sure the first time it was released was on The Chocolate Invasion. People always say it's a Emancipation left-over (c.1996), and this could well be true... but I've never seen any solid proof of this. For all we know it could have been recorded anytime between 1994-2003...

Personally, I like the old version, but the 3121 version really is a lot better (production wise, performace wise, etc.)

The new version is a considerable improvement.
When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

It wasn't on any of the Ahdio Shows - it was the only new song on The Chocolate Invasion / The Slaughterhouse. As far as I'm aware, the year it was written/recorded remains guesswork.

It's first appearance was on the Chocolate Invasion. It's widely accepted that
it was actually written around the time of Emancipation, due to someone saying
that that was what it sounded like on the NPGMC, and one of the PP's basically
confirming their guess.
