Gotta Shake This Feeling Baby...real song and predecessor to Purple Rain or just adlibbing during rehearsal ?

You´re probably all familiar with this classic off of the infamous Neon Rendezvous bootleg, a recording that consists of a rehearsal including the 13 minute guitar heavy version of Something In The Water and the 14 minute version of Prince singing Noon Rendezvous with some beautiful guitar playing.

Anyway, over the years I´ve never been able to find out the true origin of Gotta Shake This Feeling, Baby . Often referred to as "original lyrics" to Purple Rain, this skeletal song is basically an early instrumental version of Purple Rain, which, as some of you might know from the First Ave Aug.´83 show, also had an extra verse which got omitted later.

Now my question is, was there ever a full version or even a vinyl acetate of this song ( Gotta Shake This Feeling, Baby) or is there any other circulating recording other than the Neon Rendezvous version.

This version sounds as if he´s just adlibbing bits and pieces from Another Lonely Christmas and Purple Rain ( "....remember the time we swam naked in your father´s pool ..." etc.) .

Any info about this little gem ? ( I know it´s just a rehearsal, but it captures a lot of the things I loved about that particular era).

He was just adlibbing he was probably just tired of rehearsing the song as is... This was a rehearsal for his June 7th 1984 gig, "Purple Rain" was all done by then...

Thanks, I didn´t know the exact date, or to be more precise,I didn´t believe the date printed on the bootleg because it says "Purple Rain tour rehearsals", and I knew it wasn´t a tour rehearsal, so I doubted the date as well.

The reason why I´m asking this question is because I´ve read elsewhere about this song/impromptu adlibbing as a real "song", I think somewhere over at housequake, and I had never heard about it as a real song.

I took the "original lyrics to Purple Rain" title from there and had also seen it elsewhere named as such, maybe three or four years ago.

So it´s not a real song or early version, thanks for clearing this up.
I know that Purple Rain was already finished by Aug.´83 but I thought that there might still be some older version of it that they simply decided to play again during that rehearsal.
