007 Soundtrack

Anyone have any info on this? It was supposed to be during 1991 or 1992 I think?

It's unclear what you mean by the question.

Prince would sometimes play the Bond theme melody on guitar during the Nude tour.

I remeber around this time he was in talks about doing a soundtrack for one of the Bond films.

ugh--she actually sings license to 'kilt' which drives me crazy every time I listen to the best of James bond...her pips couldn't even get her to sing the right thing lol

I don't know when Prince would've been approached for a Bond soundtrack. License to Kill came out in '89 and Goldeneye was the next Bond film in '95. I don't think they had Pierce Brosnan signed up until shortly before filming(kinda like with Daniel Craig). But maybe they were planning Goldeneye for along time. It seems like quite a few artists are always mentioned as possibilities for the 'next' Bond film song.
