WOW that is awful. What statement does this make?. This makes the Musicology cover look like Sgt Pepper!!!!. It's cheap looking, unimaginative and whatever else you choose!.

if the orange background were kind of a brushed foil, it would be HOTT. as is, it's really not bad at all.

It seems some people are confusing "Simple" with "Cheap." It's not my favorite cover, but it's a far cry better then Musicology, at least the foreground and background match...

that's what i would call GOOD.

it's pretty simple, and again, that's good...the best things often are with design... perhaps with "Prince" appearing on it as well somewhere could make it look a little more complete though?

yes, because it still matters. and when 'solid' media becomes completely obsolete, cover art will still be relevant. something visual has ALWAYS been attached to albums and it always will be, even if it's a computer graphic.

plenty of people, including myself aren't into downloading tracks compared to buying the whole shebang. artwork still matters.
