It seemed that the Grammy performance really helped kick prince back into the lime light stateside. Will his performance help the UK remember Prince and what a kick ass performer he is? (even if he didn't tear the stage up and dance!!)Hell maybe sell more than a couple of thousand CDs?

It should, I just listened to the performance and it was outstanding. The crowd seemed to really be into it. Damn his guitar work was on point!

I doubt it. Americans don't get how cynical Britain is, and our opinion of Prince is so low it's not true, which really pisses me off.

Quite possibly. The performance was well-judged, and built up to an ecstatic finale. Some people have slagged him off for playing Purple Rain and Let's Go Crazy, but remember he was playing to a crowd of thousands who had probably come to see James Blunt. By the end of it, to quote the BBC, 'Prince got a rapturous reception from the Earl's Court audience'. Job well done, I think.

What Prince, and Universal, have to try and do is maintain the momentum and capitalise on the kudos generated by his performance. A lot of the crowd just saw Prince for the first time ever, and they seemed to love him.
