I got interested after I first saw him half naked on Don Kirshner's singing Dirty Mind I think it was. Got really interested with Controversy, got chills on International Lover and Automatic, was obsessed with the movie Purple Rain, mesmerized watching Sign O'The Times and was done for with the Lovesexy tour. I saw When Doves Cry in my sister's music folder, fucking loved it, then downloaded a bunch of songs and adored them too. Bought the Best Of, loved all of those songs, then bought all his albums and that was that.  really? huh...for some reason I thought you were an old timer.
