well, I was just reminded that it's my sister's birthday (woopskies) and she came to town

so, I have to drag my ass off the couch for an hour to see her...she best not make me late for the SNL party, cos it's what I've been looking forward to ALL week...

I was here first, but didn't reply....very cooool can't wait to see his sexy self.

almost an hour and a half or so away from snl coming on (here in the central time zone, anyway)...

6 am

I woke up early today in preparation for Prince's SNL performance. In honor of this great event, I decided to make purple pancakes and serve grapejuice instead of orange juice.

7 am

I am wearing a Black Sweater while doing a bit of tidying up. I want everything to be spotless in time for tonight. Thank goodness I am a good housekeeper and I won't have too much to do.

Noon

It took me much longer than expected but mostly because I kept dancing to my purple Nano instead of cleaning. I am now off to buy a few party things. I'll be wearing a SNL t-shirt with a Prince button.

4 pm

Back from doing all the errands. I told everybody I knew to watch SNL tonight! The cashier at the supermarket was a fan. He hadn't heard the song so I kind of drummed the beat on the counter with two pencils and he said it sounded good.

6 pm

I was too excited to eat so I started preparing. First a thorough shave. I tied an handkerchief around my head like Morris at the beginning of PR. That got me in the mood for a little celebratory eyeliner and haute eighties hair.

8 pm

I am now fully dressed with a lot of time to kill. I settled on the Mountain outfit and it's a little chilly.

9 pm

I've been watching the Black Sweat video over and over and it's really good. It has the potential to be even better live. Hoever I think I'm going to change into something more conservative. The video got me in the mood to wear a suit.

10 pm

I washed the eyeliner away too. I don't know what got into me. I hope it's worth the wait.

EVERYONE They just showed a clip of tonights show. Prince was singing and playing guitar (The Hohner) and the twins were dancing. He was wearing an orange suit like the one he wore Thursday night and the doo rag too.
