I have Black Sweat..Universal sent me two copies this morning
but I'm afraid to link it..knowing Prince's penchant for lawsuits

well, I promised myself I wouldnt want to hear any of the 3121 tracks to keep the surprise....
But Black Sweat will be released Feb 07 according to Universal, and ´Beautiful Loved Blessed´ also...

I feel the same...problem is the internet!....Once people listen to a song/album they put their thoughts on line and far too many people are swayed by this - hence even more negativity towards his music since the mid 90's. Music is personal therefore I'd like to amke up my own mind rather than someone esle listening and reviewing.....

It's pretty accessible...the falsetto is prominent.
Keyboards..drum machines..decent hook,probably his most
accessible release "Hit" wise in awhile,the haters on
here,will bitch about it to some degree,but the horns
and funk thing isnt a factor here,althought live,I'm
sure it will be..I'd call it "Kiss-ish" without being
that obvious a smash,but pretty damn good,a good sign
for 3121..also,my Universal e-mail said it WILL be
available for digital downlaod this evening at 8

its called a "Generic" email that most of the artists have it doesnt go direct to the artist just the A&R dept. im sure it seems like your 1st time getting serviced product. try not to get to excited. because names on mailing lists dont last long.

Sounds very average. The BL & B snippet on HQ is absolutely awful as well.

The production is fairly sparse,which as
we know is not the norm with him now.

Also the keyboard line kinda.sorta reminds
me of P Control,it's hard to explain,but I've
listened 3 or 4 times and it really grows on
you

The snippet (key word) that I heard of BL&B I was feeling big time. That shit sounded hot. I'm actually kinda excited about 3121- I just want some new Prince music period. Because I know good or bad it will still be better than anything else that is being dropped.

Also If you don't like Princes Music anymore or haven't in a while, why are you still here?

It's a really strong track.

I really would love to send it to everyone who has
orgnoted me..and believe me I'm not tryin to lord it
over anyone,but I work for Cumulus and recieved it
thru a Cumulus e-mail account and I can't take that
chance,y'all will have it soon enough and I really
think you will be pleased,it doesn't sound like any
track on Musicology and it's a track with sort of an
older Prince vibe,but is fairly modern and if it's
promoted correctly,which it seems Universal may do
it could get air and club play.

Oh I'm the first who defendsTRC. One of my top 3 favourite Prince albums. I think the ONA tour is one of his very best tours as well.

I just don't like when Prince sounds liek all this R&B crap you hear on the radio all the time.

And btw I like TAC.

I totally agree with everything you just said. I too did not like TAC (well I didn't hate it either, just not a fav at all). My point was that without even hearing the new material people are dissing it. And for the life of me I just can't understand why people come here and complain about his recent output saying things like they have not liked anything he has done for a while. That every record since The Gold Experience has sucked and blah blah. My thing is ok, it's your opinion, MOVE ON. Why do you continue to come here then? I just find it to be very odd. Like it's all negative here and that's the reason why I rarely post here.
Anyway- that's my rant.....
