why does Prince copy his copycats?

when i listened to Black Sweat is was thinking: why the hell you are trying to sound like Pharell / The Neptunes?

I mean....do you need to sound like your copycat? To sell records? To feel respected again as a musician?

Wheres your own integrity, your own vision, your own musicality?

You gave us records like parade, sign of the times and lovesexy...you dont have to copy guys who copy you.....its pathetic and cowardish

Brave, little Prince....please stand up!

Oh shut up.

you answered your own question with "do you need to sound like your copycat?"

that to me says it all.

Maybe you should stick to Pharrell and The Neptunes then. Or just play your old Prince records and reminisce. Cuz Prince stopped leading the pack a long time ago.

Moot questions I might ad. For a fan...you should know where is music is at and where it's been for at least a decade. You ask these questions like someone who is still stuck on the 80's output.

I believe it to be pathetic and cowardice, cowardly, of cowardliness to make up words in posting and answering your own Q's. Cowardice defined - of or typical of a coward, suggests a reprehensible lack of courage in the face of danger or pain.

If I recall P just wrote a song and put music to it. Why is he cowardish again?

To you it sounds like one of his contemporaries. O.K. Your opinion. If he was under mortar fire and the stress of being attacked caused him to make a song you don't like then I can see you calling him a coward, otherwise go read the lyrics to Billy Jack Bitch.

There's rarely cowardice in art. Most art takes courage to produce. Mainly because not all art will be loved, nor shall it be admired by all.

In fact you posting such a nasty comment is a perfect example of courageous art.

Excuse me for assuming "riverpoet" but you must be young. Not that it's a bad thing, your mind has not been exposed to the full genius that is the one and only Prince. I love you. Now do your homework.
