I don't hate it, don't love it.

As a single it is ok, but I really need to hear it in the context of the entire album. Prince fans know what I mean as his music is usually more of an album experience anyway.

I like it. The first ten seconds rock! The guitar "solo" is a nice touch as well. I really think that if you didn't expect anything funky as a first single (which I didn't but of course it would have been nice), it's def good.

The new deal with Univerisal was the top story on my homepage (Iwon.com) and I figured...maybe this will be on Itunes by now. I was very happy to see it there, along with Beck's new remix album (I'm not sure if I'll buy that yet, though).

It's very smooth and jazzy. It feels more genuine and real than any of the slow songs from "Musicology". I have high hopes for the album. Very nice music. Not typical Prince. It has a slight Sanatana vibe combined with some nice strings. Funky at times. Far better than "SST".

No, it makes SST and Mushitapology look like a work of towering genius. What a pile of complete and utter crap. This is the worst Julio Inglesias impersonation I've ever heard.

Unfortunately I would almost agree....

C'mon people, this is Prince! Is this really the same guy who wrote masterpieces like Sometimes it Snows, Adore, Condition of the Heart, and dozens more ? Do you REALLY think this song is less than 100 times weaker than any of this song ?

If that were the latest ballad by Julio Iglesias or his son, I would say it's good, much better than anything they have done in the past (that is pure crap).

I sill love Prince and he still has some good (and even sometimes great) moments, but he just lost his edge... Quite a few artists today actually deliver ballads than are more original and sound more fresh than what our littlepurple genius is still able to do...and that annoys me...Not to mention that I miss the funk

The strings are nice.. but he is "sampling" these strings... they are more or less filler for the song.. I'd rather them be in there than not.. but its an obvious afterthought.

but strings are a good choice..

synths are not.. I hear them through out the song.. (thats borderline cheesy)

It's dreary, boring, directionless tosh. Paul McCartney farts better tunes than this in his sleep.

I got a chance to listen to it twice this morning. So I can't give much of a review yet. I do think it's a stronger song than SST, but that's not saying much.

I will need a few more days to flesh out what I really think about it. I'm not disappointed, but I'm not excited yet...

I just hit iTunes up for the song....and I have to say I like it. That spanish/latin vibe is sweet. My early prediction is that he will have a charttopper with this on Adult Contemporary for sure. Now bring me the album!!

even with the new Clare arrangement whcih is nice to hear (even though it sounds like its lifted right off of UTCM)

its still rather a let down

hate to say it P but its just so-so

even though the tune is stuck in my head whcih I like its just a weak first single and the masses are just going to think of it as lite fare.

Also people keep talking about waiting to see the video - yes I'm sure its gorgeous but when was the last time a video of any type make a song a hit??

In my 20+ years this is the most disappointed I've ever been with an official Prince release

Its a nice tune but really filler - lets hope he's got more up his sleeve for 3121...

Prince has not lost his edge he has always put out what he wants and thats one things that I love about the guy but releasing ballads after ballads is just kinda uninspired

TMBGITW - 8
Betcha golly wow - 3
The Greatest Romance - 9
Call My Name - 8
SST - 4
Te Amo Corazón - 7

If you view it in the context of a movie soundtrack, maybe it would have a better fit?

I would agree on all these, except I would rate SST higher than TAC.

I don't thin Te Amo Corazon holds up as a single, but it will be a great album track.

apparently the video will be on iTunes too - it's unclear if it will show up tonight or not, but apparently it will eventually be available there.
