DO U Still Like to PLAY ?

For the veterans...

Do u still get a kick out of the cryptic games within the Prince world?

I always thought it was cool for many years, but alot of us are past all this,
our interest is solidified.

Not that I don't appreciate his oddball antics...

Maybe some needed it to get excited,
but by now, it can't get any wetter or harder. And newbies arent capable recruits....

It always was, and should be,
about the music.

Snap

in his music, his lyrics, and in his videos is one thing
but if it has to do with something we can't see or know for sure
then yeah, what's the point?
only those in the know get any pleasure from playing these games
yeah, real funny
pout

Anxiety

i don't know...there was a time when it was cool, but i think part of it was because the media was a lot more limited than it is now, and it was easier to make a cryptic comment at a press conference, which would eventually make its way to MTV or rolling stone, and which couldn't be mulled over by everyone on message boards for weeks and weeks.

also, i think the writing of the "riddles" was a lot more provocative in the past than it is now. i mean, when prince said he was retiring from touring (yeah right) to "look for the ladder" and when he hinted "sometimes it snows in april"...that was cool shit. it tied in with the music to come, it was poetic, it was obtuse but at the same time they were cool little phrases to chew on.

now, i think we have prince really not caring how things are perceived, and we have some people in the know who, in thinly veiled language, are saying to the rest of us: "how does it feel to want, suckers?"

well, give us something we know we'll want, and we'll tell ya how it feels...

...suckers. lol

So dense u can cut it with a knife...

THERE WERE NO GAMES FOR THIS RELEASE.

Only games were by the fake thread posters, cry babies and deniers. Prince presented NOTHING to anyone, cept the 3121 on his clothes.

It's a fun way to put on the thinking cap.

Hell, yeah. One of the best things about Prince is hearing or realizing something new in a song that you've been listening to for years. His music never gets old.
