Prince's world tour!

Okay, so it looks like there's gonna be a tour in 2006. So I lay awake in bed last night DREAMING of chance to finally get to personally see Prince in action. I am a youngER fan, and never got to see one of his shows yet. (I blew my chance w/Musicology.) But I WILL see this show if it kills me!

Anyways, I know what songs I would love to hear live. Will I be let down? Does he tend to play only songs from the new album he's promoting, or does he jump around from album to album? I'd like to hear a mix of his hits, along w/tune only hard core fans love and know.

I know I'll have a good time no matter what, it'll be the peak of my life, so to speak, but will I end up going home feeling a little unfulfilled?

Can anyone give me a run down of they "typical" Prince concert.....(if there is such a thing.)?

Well he has said it before, but never kept to his word, but i believe him this time, and good on him, he really must be getting board, but the new stuff really has to be good if he wants to bring in the crowds!

Although you might want to hear certain songs, I can guarantee you that no matter what he plays, you will be entertained.

i had never gone until musicology. i went to three of them, first concert i missed presale, so i ended up 6th row. next concerts, i got in on the npgmc presale and had front row both times, and let me tell you, it was an experience I will NEVER forget!

Trust me, you will be blown away. you will totally enjoy it! If u arent a member of npgmc, i recommend doing it for the tix! the $25 membership fee in itself is worth it cause when i bought my tix through ticket bastard, i had to pay taxes and fees, which you dont pay through the club, so it all evened out in the long run.

I sure hope he doesn't keep his word on it...Prince is all about "entertaining"...I just don't see him electrifying a crowd with a heart-pounding performance of 'Cinnamon Girl'.

I hate to say it, I think the Musicology Tour was the big bang for money, not for playing his Hits, to be honest, If he was gonna do a world tour, it would've been off of the Musicology Tour, claiming to be the last time he played the Hits. If he did a concert of only his new songs, It would'nt be a "Concert of the Year,SOLD OUT" thang. I'd still pay anything to see him, as I always foolishly do.( I say that by the looks of my credit card bill, from my expenditures of him)
I think, but not everyone else does, No matter what he plays he'd put on an EXCELLENT show, I would LOVE to see a concert of nothing but his slow songs.

He's been saying the same thing for over a decade.

Also, although it says "World tour", let's wait and see how it pans out, there've been other world tours that encompassed only one country or territory - Although, I'd say that was erring slightly on the side of caution, since the last tour was USA only, so I think we'll see some Euro and Japan dates too. smile
