damn. confused i suppose when there's actually new music TO discuss, i'm sure we all will be doing so. until that time, i guess we'll just discuss - and give opinions on - what limited news/info/teaser we DO have at the moment, which is the whole 3121 "mystery".

I wish NPGMC would answer a question every day or two about 3121, even with only hints instead of detailed info.

e.g. someone writes "Does the 3121 project (whatever that is) involve new music?", PP replies "Yes and no".

Someone else writes "Does the 3121 project involve other artists?", PP replies "All* r welcome @ 3121"

*Small print: The term 'all' does not include those people without invites, such as NPGMC club members. The term 'all' refers to celebrities only.

back in march, Prince registered the trademark "3121". Also in February/March he obtained many websites such as "3121prince.com" and "prince3121.com" and all variations thereof. THEN....YESTERDAY, he registered the domain "3121.com". The 3121 trademark description is very similar to the "NPG Music Club" trademark registration....

sounding like a new site to me.....and possibly new band name, out with the old (NPG) and in with the new (3121).

ur thoughts?

sounds cool.
post this over at the club..maybe they'll tell you if you're right?

actually, papaj discovered the www.3131prince.com, but at the time he discovered that, www.3121.com was not yet registered to P (it was actually registered the same day s papaj's discovery). So anyhoo, i did some searching and found the 3121 trademark issued in March with the US patent office, and dug further and discovered that the www.3121.com had been registered on Sunday and was being redirected to npgmc.

at any rate..i posted all this over there as well. no cryptic response yet from a mod. they acknowleged chriscurry on the 12/13 discovery, so i should (at least) get an acknowledgement if i am right cool

i dont think 3121 is for a different band...cause of the fact that they are pointing it to npgmc.

btw...the site was registered by sam jennings.

Maybe 3121 will be a new club (à la Glam Slam)? Sam is the one that spins at Berlin's Prince night, right?

I am very excited by these developments. biggrin
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

What is the mystery he is going to put out a new recording at some point and time.
We just don't know the name of the project. P is always dropping these clues a
few months before the CD comes out.

All of this discussion is exactly what makes being a Prince fan fun for me. I like the riddles, theories, anticipation of the unknown, etc. With other artists, you get a street date and sit and wait. With Prince, he takes your mind through cartwheels...sometimes for no reason whatsoever. I like it.
