Xpectation

This is the only album by Prince that I have hardly listened to. Why is it so unliked? I don't know that I have ever seen anyone post anything positive about it. a little insight please.

from what i remember, people don't like it because it's mere instrumental noodling 'lite' shit.

i've forgotten how it sounds m'self, ain't heard it in eons.

Well, it doesn't come close to the Madhouse compositions, but I still like it... a lot! And it's much more enjoyable to listen to than many of his other recent instrumental outings.

I think it's a masterpiece, and the last great thing he's done to date.

I love it. I think it's good enough to carry the Madhouse name, just a shame it hasn't been released on CD, where as that awful, awful nothingness, S.N.O.O.Z.E. has been.

It's great! But, i dont think some people like it cause it's all instrumental. And some people cant listen to stuff without vocals which is just dumb.

I like it! In fact, I even love it. But I've always been a fan of
Prince's instrumental outings, from Madhouse, to Venus de Milo to
to The Sensual Everafter and Arboretum.

This album was a very nice surprise for me, and along with C-Note
which is even better, it was one of the cooler things these years
to come from the NPGMC.

"Xpedition", is one of my fav Prince instrumentals ever.
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps
