Either Musicology or For You is my least favourite , both have a few tunes on them that have never really stuck in my head , thats forgiveable on a debut album but on an album 25 years into his career its very disheartening .

Musicology

bad album, bad memories, horrible cover, annoying songs
with bad lyrics and wanna be hip grooves plus some lame
Erykah Badu rip off that doesn't work for fck and then,
surprisingly, there are two nice songs on it.

not enough to keep it from being his worst album if you
ask me. even new power soul has at least 4 very strong,
good songs on it. even rave has 2 or 3 classic joints..

but Musicology has absolutely nothing going for it

shoulda released an EP to tie us over. or thrown the two
or three half decent tracks on the internet.

oh wait, he already did release them on the club, months
before the album even appeared.

It shows them that even though you are a Prince fan, you are still an individual yourself with your own tastes and dislikes instead of just what Prince's are.

I think I got a few tracks into the first disc of ONA Live when I first got it, since which it's never graced my CD player.

On Joy In Repetition, Larry Graham's bass is unfortunately quite intrusive.
Musiq is completely out of place, off-tune, and manages to ruin Prince's little guitar solo.
The remaining tracks show little resemblance to the original tracks, and are repetitive, dull and boring (at least on record) jams.
As I said before, "It Ain't Over" is worth listening for "Dorothy Parker" only, in my opinion.

Fashionable or no, I cannot stand NPS. Pure crap.

I also strongly dislike Batman. I see lots of fans praise this album, since it came from the 80s, but to me that album is nothing but boring filler.

Easy. "Emancipation." Not just complete and utter shit, but there's so much of it. Dreadful, dreadful album. It also didn't help that he'd touted it as the album he was "born to make". Every single thing about that album is wrong.

I'm gonna say VAULT. I just don't like it Much. I don't feel a Good Flow like the other albums.

I've never had that problem with "Sister" but I have had a similar problem with the "Parade" album. I know tons of people that used to be into Prince heavily but this album drove them away for good because it had classical music on it. I hear from people all the time...."Does Prince still do that nerdy classical shit?" I have no problem with people saying that because it pissed me off when he did it also. I simply respond by saying "He still does every now and then and he's even done dull accoustical stuff and tired ass rap since then. I agree that he lost his damn mind after "Purple Rain" but he still puts out jams every now and then when he wants to".

I've found that if you agree with something the non-fans are saying, don't be afraid to tell them. It shows them that even though you are a Prince fan, you are still an individual yourself with your own tastes and dislikes instead of just what Prince's are.
