Then why does he loot at the chalk, then imagine a noose and then look back at the chalk? It's because he's imagining the end of himself and seeing himself washed out and attempting to kill himself like his Dad. I am not sure what you are asking. But as far as I know the shot of the father at the end having surived the gun shot was added very late. That orginialy his father died and thus the tape/chalk outline. (which i do not think they even did in 1984). So that is why we have to assume that he was just imagining the outline along with his own hanging. | |
