Has Prince ever lied to you?

Doesn't it bother you that he feels he can get away with it because he has two sides and one side won't own up to what the other side said?? maybe for good reason, who knows. nice trick tho.

Personally, no.

It is true that Prince's opinions and views have changed over time. Therfore, if you line one interview quote up from 1999 and another from 2004 they may appear different or contradictory.

However, this is not lying.

People develop and change over time. It is something common to all of us.

What about getting a life?

I try really hard not to judge folks, especially since I've been laughed at once or twice for being a Prince nut.

But Jebus fucking Krispies! Are there actually people who have personal feelings of anger toward this dude we've never met because you perceive that he somehow lied to you?

The simple fact that Prince changes often his mind doesnt mean he lies....I think he's convinced of what he says...THAT MOMENT.... wink wink wink

He's never lied to me personally...because Ive never spoke to him personally.

NPGMC however have been extremely elastic with the truth in the past....like the World tour that we should all sign up to get priority tickets for...the same World tour which never left the USA.

Then of course are the CD which never turned up etc.

The main habit he has isnt so much lying but more being disapointing or not thinking to clearly after building things up to be great...like when I tried to get priority tickets for the European ONA tour....but NPGMC had no record of my membership until about 2 days after the tickets had all gone. The salt in the wound was when he pointed out to people at the back of the room that,if they wanted decent tickets, the shoudl join the NPGMC...a little bit harsh seeing as everyone around me was muttering that they too were members of NPGMC and had the same problems

I have never gotten too personally invested in what Prince is ever doing or saying. So, if Prince has "lied" I don't care anyways. He is my favorite musician, not my daddy or my spouse.

And yet we do it all the time -- politicians, people on the road, Dr. Laura, that person who just made a speech I don't agree with, that terrible sitcom on TV, that singer who just said what?!? For reals now...

lightning rainbo yes....especially face2face...no no no!
"...there's no method eye didn't try, U'd stand N my face U'd smile & LIE!!!" strange but True, we both knew he was lying N those moments so the reason 4 deception is elusive! generally its a different mode on the phone or N the shared Dreamtime... just an analogy: the 2 sides R not N Balance/agreement so perhaps lying supports their position hmmm queen

....snap....B always feels your position~thanks 4 the question...those of us who have been consistantly lied 2 R weary of it=True?

Yea, Prince has lied about letting it go...but he's still got it. Prince can lie to me all he wants, he makes up the most strange tales since he's a genius, a legend and i'm not phased by it. although that NPGMC drama is quite sad.

yes that is quite foul...as Heaven would have it eye happened 2 B @ the Chicago Theatre when he kicked off the 'Sound Check' session 4 NPG members 3/2/02 & he made a remarks about tickets, NPGers complained N unison that they didn't get ANY kind of preferencial seating with membership (he put it on ticketmaster) & went on 2 vocalize other concerns/complaints regarding the website & membership...boyfriend Literally went & hid Behind Billy (Sparks) when folks started goin off = was anybody else here~there 4 that event?

He may have been talking about the music videos from that album. They are officially available on VHS.

nah, i know (and own) that. I did read about the concert in an old book. He "teased" us on the music video collection, even though "jughead" was dubbed for some reason?

Ha, that "strollin'" video. I keep saying this, but u do see the ginger one from sex in the city in that video.
