PrintableI don't know if I'd consider his actions snobbery, to me he just seems like a Superstar. A REAL Superstar. I remember when Purple Rain came out, being completely star struck by Prince and his whole crew. They were glamorous, mysterious, and seemed unapproachable. Michael Jackson had the same thing going on and to an extent, so did Madonna. Celebrities now to me are just people (too normal with nothing extraordinary about them) and I don't know if its because I'm older or if they're just too accessible. Also, seeing them in the tabloids looking like shit and having them be so "down to earth" that they're always revealing personal information about their lives doesn't help either. So to me, wether or not Prince is a snob really doesn't matter because if I'm going to be a fan of someone, thats what I'd want them to be like. I can't be a "fan" of someone who could just be the girl or guy from down the street. I could appreciate that person for their talent if they had some but to me, that person can never be a star in my eyes. ...And thats why I HATE American Idol but, thats another story. | |

To be honest, Prince is very nice if you're a devout fan, a woman, or if you're black. He can be and very likely will be a total prick to anyone otherwise.

Yeah, i read an interview where he was talking about people who bad mouth him, and he dared them to go to stage with him and he can outplay anyone with his band, or something like it.
