Carmen Electra Advance Cassette

hey i used to work for warner in the early 90's and i was once given a cassette tape of an early version of the Carmen Electra album, but it was different from the released album. It had some different tracks and was missing some from the released album and some of the versions were less polished and a little more raw.

Do you think it is valuable? Do you think its an interesting item? I think it was sent to the head of AnR to check out.

Thx

It really does sound like an interesting item but you may get a bit more feedback in the Associated artists & people forum.

Thanks!

That early copy of Carmen's album contained several songs that didn't appear on the released version...

"Powerline"
"Go Carmen Go"
"Power From Above"
"Carmen On Top"
"The Juice"

in addition, the song "All That" was totally different. This version sounded much more like Prince's "Adore".

In my opinion,Carmen's album needed less of the hip-hop/rap tracks, and more strong dance/club songs like "Fantasia Erotica",which is the album's best track imo.It was a huge mistake trying to market her as a female rapper.

Yes I think that are the tracks on the album I have.

Some of the tracks are less produced too.

Thx. Is it worth anything?

Its a WB internal promo cassette...

This version was also pressed on CD with artwork (which differs a little from the released version) but never released, though, just like "The Undertaker", several copies of it managed to escape from the pressing plant and do the rounds among collectors...
Just the artwork pop up every now and then on eBay...

I got those songs off a boot. I love "power from above". By far her best song. The production is so full and awesome. With the steeles and all.

"carmen on top" is cool aswell. Sexy
