Don't know if this has been posted already....if so please forgive, if not enjoy.
This is a good rendition of the Morning Papers, Prince's natural voice is superb.

Unbelievable! Reminds me of the '85 AMAs. His Prince persona has be refined like crazy to this point.

1:52. Proof that Prince uses pre-recorded (guitar) tracks. I read it on the org before, didn't wanna believe it, but whoops there it is. confused

Many people do that during television performances. He doesn't use them in concert. Happy to see so many people enjoying this great performance.

That's what I thought, but on the other thread (I'll search for it), it seemed like folks were saying he does it more often than not. That's the first time I've noticed it. Oh well, he's still gettin' his shred on.

I understand where u are coming from and yes people do get into that from time to time on the org. More often than not some parts are pre-taped for t.v. performances to make sure that everything is audible to be aired. Whereas in the live setting the set up is completely different so he really doesnt need to use them. Exceptions being the use of his guitar part to open the When Dove's Cry performance during the Musicology tour.

Right on. It IS a tight performance though. Who's the brotha on keys?

That would be Morris Hayes aka Mr. Hayes, former Prince keyboardist. Mr. Hayes was in the band until the early 00's. Hayes was a bad brotha and he was also in the best incarnation of the NPG IMHO, with Michael Bland, Tommy Barbarella, Sonny T. and Prince.

Hey, was that also the show where the first performance was "MY Name Is Prince"? Man, I've been looking for that one!

Yes it was. That whole show was fire! I sooooo wanted to see Prince after that but my Mom wouldn't let me. I got mine several years later.

I remember this show. I was stuck in a snow storm here in NY on the night this show aired. I remember trying to rush home in time to see this show. On another note, that guitar solo was pre-recorded? It doesn't sound like it. It sounded live.
