Prince's Best Years So Far

Hey Yoall, I been Prince fan since I was 13 thats like 1983 man and Im still a fan , Im still payinn attention, still buyin c.d's , going to the concerts etc

But IMO musically Prince's best years hence I mean best albums have been between
" 1980 to 1992 " so like basically from like (Dirty Mind - The LoveSymbol) There has been some good stuff in dribs and drabs from various albums post Lovesymbol...
but something changed...Im not certain exactly how to describe it but in the period i mentioned "1980 -1992" Prince was doing something interesting and innovative and cool from album to album , look at the contrasts between these terrific albums ...PurpleRain - AroundtheWorldinaDay - Parade -SOTT - LoveSexy -CraffitiBridge - Diamonds & Pearls - LoveSymbol,

To me its like there was this flow of consistently different and interesting albums then somehow post LoveSymbol that flow was kinda lost.
Like I said there have been albums since that have had their moments eg " Gold Album " good stuff here but somehow i think overall the album was missing something & all that talking stuff between songs i thought was cheesy and uncool.
The Emancipation album was too highly overated in hype to what it was , but were some gem tracks on it, cd 1 was maybe 90% good and cd 2 was half as good as
cd 1 but cd 3 was mostly crap. Come and Chaos and Disorder were mediocre albums for a guy like Prince, and so was NPG it was an ok to dance to but musically/songwise it was very mediocre. Rave had some good tracks but nothing very special. The Rainbow Children had some stuff i really like but the overdone religiose concept of the album was a bit much.

Like i said era between 1980 - 1992 , i think was best so far...The Revolution were great I d love to see Prince do an album with them again, plus the band lineup that worked on Diamonds & Pearls were also great.

You saw the apple
hanging on the tree,
But missed the orchid
