Diamonds and Pearls tour was fantastic!

It was freakin' awesome.

I got a bootleg. Awesome camera angles, and u know this is a direct feed from Prince's people. The visual quality is bad but not unwatchable by any means. The audio is ok.

It sucks that Prince decided not to release it after teasing us with it on the "d and p music video collection".

By far Prince's most energetic tour I have seen. He even has a dance routine with the gameboyz on "daddy pop". Amazing energy, even if the dance moves do suck razz

Plus u get a young Mayte, diamond and pearl, a horn section, damon doing his goofy dance on "delirious/strollin'", and u get to see "cream" live. Which seems to be rare considering how well known the song is.

So, whats ur thoughts on it? Plus it is nice to see a show with a good selection of tracks from that album, and not just a greatest hits tour. Though I wish "push" was played though.

"sexy mf" is played though.

The whole "circus" thing is even more visually spectacular then the "Lovesexy" tour, which is a close second. Considering how normal the previous nude tour was, it was good to see Prince putting so much into a tour again. And this was the last time he really bothered.

About one of the Paris concerts I remember the terrific Jimi Hendrix track and when he sang Delirious and danced on the piano , even Judghead was great the rappers were on stage and Prince was videotaped backstage on the screen with D& P, DVD!

it was unreal. i was at the concert in dublin, ireland, my home country and he was amazing, the whole crew was great. although curtis stigers(remeber him!) was his support, bloody awful.

p was at his best and looked great. at one stage someone came from the back of the stadium with a blow up doll on their shoulders with 'take me little man' written on it, prince and rosie were in the middle of gett off and the both pissed themselves laughing as it reached the stage, great day.

may u live 2 see the dawn

I saw the show twice in London, and although the 'show' element was an improvement on the previous tour, I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as the
'85 - '88 shows.

The girls were all pretty unspectacular after Sheila and Cat. The band and material were also nothing on the afore-mentioned tours. Good fun though.

I attended the show in Dortmund ... and than I sold all my 4 other tickets for later shows ...

D&P is the fuckin' most horrible show Prince has ever done !!!
Crap album / crap songs / terrible band / slicker than Kool and the Gang in their latter days!

Man ... I really can't stand the D&P era
It's the utter worst mistake P ever made

Wasn't this tour the biggest in europe for any US artist?

? I think "the nude" tour might of been bigger in europe actually? (and surprisenly)

"d and p" tour had it all. I never seen the act I or II tours, but are they like the "d and P" tours? They look smaller and more standard, but the gameboyz were still in it, but not rosie or d and p themselves? IS this right?

I saw Act II as well, this was great 2, again quiet a big cool show but not as over the top as D&P.. The screams as he comes up in that time capsule the excitment is amazing. Also on the Act II shows i saw, the show began with Mayte flying over the arena dressed as Prince from the my name is Prince video with the chain hat etc, every1 freaked thinking it was Prince, then when she arrived at the stage, she stripped off in2 her underwear, people were like what the fuck?! haha then Prince would appear and it wassss ooonnnnn! Classic!

cool

I saw that show at wembley stadium and was utterly disapointed. There was too many long breaks in between songs and many of the crowd could be seen leaving the stadium not even half way through the show. It was my first Prince concert ( i was about 14 or 15 ) and i left feelin gutted and let down.
