It's ok , but the show's kinda slick and Larry Graham is a bit annoying
trying to get all the attention and P changed the words of 'The Cross' into 'The Christ' and he also changed the lyrics of'Purple Rain' disbelief , i like the choir in 'The Cross' , tho'
Nice to see him perform with lenny too

i'd buy it again smile

Yeah i gotta agree o+> is more GOD orientated now so he doesn't sing all his nasty songs any more. Larry Graham Does try to get all the attention but it didn't beacause even in the backround o+> is doing something with the guitar or the splits or something and he pulls all the attention back to him

If you like to see prince dance it is going to be a dancing scene where he does the splits like 7 or 8 times and he has those facial expressions when he ismplaying one of his funky guitar riffs it's tight . I can do some with me guit ar but not all . I trying to get my dad to buy me some effect foot pedals to do even more.

Yeah , you can blame Larry for P not singing nasty lyrics anymore :disbelieve:
since he got him into the Jehova religion

highs ; Lenny performing with Prince , The Time , Blues Medly ,Get Off
lows; Larry Graham (although the songs don't sound bad apart from his singing)
Sound and picture quality are good

sound and pic is good --- being that it is a dvd and that he chose to record it before he put it out to the fans ... (new years eve first broadcast ,etc)

i saw it new yrs eve .. it was good .. .again many prince fans comment that it doesnt really "capture" the moment ....another frustrating thing is that the camera angles and movements by the director .... are very frustrating ... even to the point that it is hard to watch .... much like the "one night alone dvd" ...

i do have the dvd of this ... but it does gather dust ... occasionally i put it in just to see a live version of "shes always in my hair" or lenny and prince , etc ... wink cool

The only thing I really liked about the show personally was the wonderful version of 'Nothing Compares 2 U'.

Personally speaking, it's one of my favourite versions of the song.

There is very little actual dancing in this performance, which overall I find somewhat lackluster.
The video and sound quality are top notch, but like someone before mentioned, the editing is completly annoying, to my eye much more so than "Live at the Aladdin", which I feel has gotten a bum rap from many.
If you love to watch Prince play guitar, I would recomend it for that alone.
He goes off numerous times, including a soaring "Purple Rain", and a killer "Purple House", which references Mayte "My little Puerto Rican baby don't live here no more."
But for sheer electricity, it's no "Sign O' the Times".

More (negative) thoughts:

The Time actually steal the show, IMO. And it doesn't help matters that his two leaden duets with Lenny take place immediatly after.

His last ever performace of "1999" is ruined by loading the stage with friends,
fans, and hangers on...he barely has room to move.

The lead guitar parts for "Baby knows" were dubbed in...Mike Scott is clearly playing rythem, and not palying the blue angel.

The fact that the bonus tracks are snippets, and not full length performances is especially annoying.

I saw the part with Lenny's song "Fly Away" and thought it was awesome. Prince on guitar and Larry does a funky little solo on bass. Can't wait to but this also.
Don't hurt me, I'm a newb. I'm supposed to be stupid.

Ok I really like it! The picture quality is MUCH better than
the Aladdin DVD and the high points of it are awesome.

Highs: Tracks 1-9 and 17-23 lots of energy, great music, sexy Prince

Lows: Tracks 10-16 too much Larry and the show gets kinda slow around
here in my opinion. Also too many "special guests"
If you will, so will I

I like the DVD but I wished it would have had more of Prince's popular songs on it. (I know I will probably get sh*t for saying that - sorry guys.) Also, I liked the interviews, Prince is really cool to listen on the interviews.
