There are a lot of Prince songs I don't understand, but I listen to these all the time!!...can anyone tell me what they are about!?

I've always felt that these songs are pretty self-explanatory... just pay extra close attention to what he's saying.

Then for Anna Stesia.
I always figured this song was about him realizing what true love is, and finding it out thru God. I never understood who Anna Stesia actually is, perhaps it represents his discovering what love really is...God. But really, God is Love. In reality it doesn't work the other way around, but that's how Prince felt about it so...moving on. lol

Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong.

I understand he was seeing Anna Fantastic near this time, and it would be nice to know the date she turned 18... my guess is, that it was after he released Lovesexy and the song has nothing to do with her.

Anastacia, and anaesthesia are 2 different things, as well as 2 different pronunciations. He is clearly pronouncing anaesthesia during this whole song. Even listening to the speeches he gave during the performance on the tour... he was talking about finding inner peace, free from pain. The song "Lovesexy" was more about spiritual rebirth than Anna Stesia was.

Anna Stesia was all about discovering the purest form of Love... God.
