Osama Bin Laden getting ready to bomb Fello Prince-xperts,
I have among my collection a recording where prince is jamming with the band in concert and he starts by saying "we got one more then we gonna get out, i gotta go home y'all...i gotta go back to america...and get ready for the bomb" then goes into "osama bin laden's getting ready to bomb". He repeats the phrase over and over to a the theme from Stanley Kubricks "2001 a Space Oddessy". The date of this performance is pre-911 but sometime in 1998. I know Bin Laden was a known terrorist for years but where in the heck did P get his info from? Can anyone shed some light on this? Nobs [Edited 5/31/05 10:32am] |

Is this in the new FAQ? If not, it should be.
It's from a Dutch after show. 23th of December 1998 at Utrecht. He sang the line during the 'Also Sprach Zarathustra' jam that he did on that tour. That where people think it's spooky, because the track is the theme to the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey. To cut a long story short - He isn't some sort of modern day Nostrodamus (I'm not saying you were saying he was, but it's been said before, and probably will be again that Prince "predicted it  ) - Prince obviously reads the newspapers and keeps his eye on current affairs.Don't worry, I can't get pregnant - my ovaries are diseased...... | |

Anyone who read a newspaper back then and kept up to date with the news (I know, most Amerikkkans probably just started to read newspapers and watch the news after 9-11... Figures...) knew what the guy was talking about, nothing special or anything... Was a nice gig though... Neversin. O(+>NIИ<+)O
